The mission of Forgotten Harvest Canada is to relieve poverty and hunger in Ontario by rescuing surplus, prepared and perishable food and donating it to emergency food providers. Forgotten Harvest Canada was formed in 2011 and fights two problems: hunger and waste. Forgotten Harvest Canada collects surplus, prepared and perishable food from a variety of sources such as farmers, manufacturers, wholesale food distributors, grocery stores, restaurants, caterers, dairies and other Health Unit approved sources.
